Nearly 100 killed in Bangladesh factory building collapse

This is a sad event considering the fact that this loss of life could have been avoided had the owners of these factories followed Safety rules and laws.  There is need for an international interest in this as it is very clear that the clothes which were headed for Wal-Mart. As confirmed by one of the owners of the factory.

He said that his firm had been sub-contracted to supply Wal-Mart Stores Inc, the world’s largest retailer.

As a manufacturing expert I believe following world class manufacturing methods could have easily avoided this disaster and still ensured that the factory owners enjoy their profits.
